Barb Pratt
Barb Pratt says she doesn't remember a time in her life without the influence of music. From her early childhood, her family sang together at home, in church, or while riding from place to place in the car.
Her vocal music background and directing experience are varied. She was active in both vocal and instrumental music programs while in high school. She has received private voice instruction from members of the music faculty at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. While in college at Asbury University, she was privileged to be a member of the Singing Ambassadors, a small mixed ensemble that traveled extensively representing Asbury in the USA and abroad. She has directed church choirs and small group ensembles.
Barb joined Heart of Highland Chorus in January 2006. In 2010, she enrolled in the Director Certification Program offered by Sweet Adelines International. She completed the program in December 2012 and was recognized as a Certified Director.
Heart of Highland Chorus is so happy and proud to have "Barb" as our new Director.
